Image showing the dome Grimaldi 1 and Cavalerus 1
(described in plate Cavalerius region Quadrant I).
The height of Grimaldi dome is determined to 160 ± 20m, resulting in
an average slope of 0.6° ± 0.10°. The dome volume V is estimated by assuming a
form factor of f = 1/2, which yields an edifice volume of 41.2km³.
Some
prominences, presumably non-volcanic hills, are situated on the summit of
Grimaldi 1. The orbital image shows that the examined large dome displays linear
structures on its surface that can be interpreted as the result of tensional
stress. It belongs to class In1.
